Software

Our PointOfSale Software is a comprehensive point of sale system designed to be customized for small to large-sized retail businesses. The system is composed of five related components that are integrated into a user-friendly environment. The system is scaleable - for small businesses with 1 to 5 points of sale to larger businesses with 6 or more points of sale plus at many locations.  The six major components are:

- Mail

- Administration

- BarCode Maker

 

POS is the actual point of sale component. Customers are added or retrieved by last name, phone, or Customer ID. Complete customer history of Orders, Special Orders, Repairs, and Merchandise Credits are conveniently displayed. New Orders are easily entered. Item descriptions and prices are automatically retrieved when the Product Code is either entered or when a laser scanner is used. Credit cards may be entered or swiped thru a magnetic card reader. Credit card processing uses the PC Authorize certified component that seamlessly interfaces with credit card processing centers. Receipts are prepared by using either a receipt printer or other quality printer where professional receipts for high price items are desired.

PointOfSale also tracks and maintains inventory. A manufacturer database is first established. Products are Categorized and Typed. Unique product codes are automatically generated. Product descriptions may be as detailed as you wish. Cost and price information is entered. As orders are processed the inventory is automatically updated.  A unique feature of the inventory component is that of tracking Consignments.

 

Reports provides the information for you to conduct your routine business and also provides the information you need to analyze your business to improve it. Detail and summary Sales reports are at your finger tips. Daily reports allow you to balance your day’s business with bank transactions.. Sales reports provide information on monthly basis, weekly basis, and by hour of the day; thereby, allowing you to plan your scheduling of employees. Sales reports are also produced by Manufacturer, Category, and Type. Additionally, all transactions are traceable by Employee.

Inventory reports are detailed by Manufacturer and by Type. Specifically designed Consignment Reports allow you to determine the appropriate payment to Manufacturers taking into account any returns. Items Outstanding to include Special Orders, Repairs, Merchandise Credits, and Gift Certificates allows you to track the status of each. Demographic customer reports show the locations of your customers. All reports use Crystal Reports as a basis. Reports may be filtered by you specifying the information that you want. Finally, there is an Ad Hoc Query capability that allows you to develop your own queries to the database. This data can then be saved and further analyzed using other tools such as Excel.

PointOfSale allows you to query your customer database and produce mailing labels or export them to a file for sending to a fulfillment house. You can filter customers by the last date of an order, by an amount of sales, and/or by specific Manufacturer.   You determine the scope of your mail list.

Administration allows an authorized person to configure the location of the store, messages to be printed on receipts for orders, special orders, repairs, and credit slips, and other required information. Employee information and passwords are established.   Security can be as strict as your work environment requires.

                    

BarCode Maker is an integrated component of PointOfSale.  Labels are easily prepared so that items may be scanned into the PointOfSale system when purchases are made.  BarCode Maker can readily be adapted for use in Record Management Services.

PointOfSale has been designed to work on a stand-alone computer or over a Local Area Network. Your computers are seamlessly integrated with cash drawers, printers, laser scanners, magnetic card readers, and with credit card processing by dialing into the processing centers through your modem. You will eliminate your existing credit card processors. The databases are scaleable. Microsoft Access is used for 1 to 10 simultaneous sales points and Microsoft SQL Server is used for larger systems.Virtually any existing computer, monitor, or printer using Windows 95/98, Windows 2000,  or Windows XP may be used.
